Scholarships at Colorado Valley Communications
At Colorado Valley Communications, we believe in the power of education to transform lives and strengthen communities. As a member-owned cooperative, we are proud to invest in the future of rural Texas by supporting students who are ready to take the next step in their academic journey.
Each year, Colorado Valley Telephone Cooperative (CVCTX) awards $5,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from area high schools. In 2025, we proudly awarded $60,000 in scholarships to 12 outstanding students representing six different schools. These scholarships are made possible through our Rural Scholarship Fund, which is supported by unclaimed capital credits and deposits from former members, as well as earnings from funds set aside specifically for educational support.
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve. By helping students pursue higher education, we’re not only supporting individual dreams—we’re investing in the long-term vitality of our region. Our scholarship recipients go on to study a wide range of disciplines, bringing new skills and perspectives back to the communities they call home.
Interested in applying for a scholarship? We encourage students from CVCTX co-op member households to reach out and learn more about eligibility and application deadlines. Together, we can build a brighter future—one student at a time.
