Colorado Valley Communications is rooted in community.
As a member-owned cooperative, we believe our role goes beyond delivering high-speed internet and reliable phone service. Being rooted in community means showing up for our neighbors—by investing in education, supporting local nonprofits, and helping rural Texas thrive.
Rooted in Community at Colorado Valley Telephone Cooperative
At Colorado Valley Telephone Cooperative and Colorado Valley Communications (CVCTX), being rooted in community means standing alongside our neighbors and investing in the people and places we call home. We’re dedicated to more than providing reliable communications—we’re committed to supporting education, local organizations, and opportunities that help our region thrive.
From scholarships that empower local youth to contributions that strengthen community programs, CVCTX is proud to give back in ways that build a brighter future for everyone we serve.
Strengthening Rural Texas Through Scholarships
We believe that investing in education is investing in the future of rural Texas. Each year, CVCTX awards $5,000 scholarships to approximately 10 students from co-op member households, creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders, innovators, and community builders.
Funded through our Rural Scholarship Fund, these scholarships ease the financial burden of higher education and open doors to new possibilities—whether students choose a university, community college, or trade school. By supporting their journey, we’re not only helping young people pursue their goals, but also ensuring that rural Texas continues to grow, thrive, and remain strong for years to come.

Proudly Supporting Texas A&M Students
CVCTX also invests heavily in education, recognizing that supporting students today strengthens rural Texas for generations to come. Over the years, CVCTX has contributed more than $100,000 in scholarships to Texas A&M University students, an achievement that earned the cooperative special recognition from the university. This milestone reflects not only our financial commitment, but also our belief in empowering young people to achieve their goals and bring their skills back to the communities they call home.

Colorado Valley Communications is proud to partner with Fayette EMS to provide scholarships that help employees advance their level of certification. By investing in their training, CVCTX has already helped several team members move into leadership roles within the department—strengthening emergency services for the entire community.
This partnership also encourages the next generation to consider careers in EMS. Fayette EMS leaders visit local high schools to share the rewards of becoming EMTs and paramedics, inspiring students to stay in the county and serve their neighbors. Together, CVCTX and Fayette EMS are building a stronger, safer future for rural Texas.

Giving Back: Community Donations
Through the CVCTX Employee Charity Fund, our team supports local nonprofits that make a meaningful impact. Recent donations have benefited organizations like the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter, The Boys and Girls Club of Champion Valley, And Then…, and The Red Door Fund for Mental Health. These contributions come from voluntary payroll donations—a reflection of our team’s shared commitment to giving back.
Support Local NonprofitsOur Commitment to the Fayette County Fairgrounds
The new Colorado Valley Communications Food Court is more than a name—it reflects our long-term investment in the Fayette County Fair. Partnering with the City of La Grange and the Fayette County Fair Association, CVCTX buried fiber and installed Wi-Fi across nine key buildings, giving vendors private connections and fairgoers reliable, high-speed internet.
With a 20-year commitment to maintain this service at no cost, CVCTX ensures the fairgrounds remain connected for years to come. Today, Wi-Fi covers nearly 875,000 square feet, enhancing the experience for guests, participants, and vendors.
At the heart of it all, the CVCTX Food Court is a place to gather, connect, and celebrate everything that makes Fayette County special.
